Raymond W. Smock Fellowship Application

Announcing the Raymond W. Smock Fellowship to support attendance at the annual meeting of the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress. The meeting is May 15-17, at the National Archives Research Center in Washington D.C. The 2024 meeting host is the Center for Legislative Archives.  

The Smock Fellowship of $1000 is open to those who work at an ACSC member institution and have not previously attended an annual meeting. If you know someone who fits these criteria, please forward this to them and share it with your state and regional professional networks! The deadline is Friday, April 5. Please note that the Scholarships and Awards Committee may choose to divide the award between two applicants.

Notification will be made before the ACSC meeting, and the award will be presented at the 2024 annual meeting in Washington D.C.

RAYMOND W. SMOCK FELLOWSHIP

OF THE

ASSOCIATION OF CENTERS FOR THE STUDY OF CONGRESS

The Raymond W. Smock Fellowship in the amount of $1000 is awarded annually to an individual or individuals working in a congressional center that is a member of the Association of Centers for the Study of Congress (ACSC) who has not previously attended an ACSC annual meeting.  The Smock Fellowship honors ACSC founding member and first president, Raymond W. Smock, Director Emeritus of the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies at Shepherd University. The award will be presented at the 2024 annual meeting at the National Archives Research Center in Washington D.C.
