2019 Call for Public Library Section election candidates

The SAA Public Library Archives and Special Collections Section seeks candidates to serve in leadership positions for June 2019 elections! Getting involved in PLASC leadership is a great way to engage in professional development and public service. 

Time commitment is approximately 5 hours/month, including attendance at a virtual monthly meeting. Annual meeting attendance is NOT required. Over the last 2 years PLASC has been engaged in reinvigorating the section and developing outreach initiatives to raise awareness of and advocate for the collections, staff, and work of public library archives and special collections. Students, new professionals, and mid-career welcomed! You do not currently have to work at a public library to apply.

Available positions for 2019-2020:

• Vice-chair (to serve the following year as section Chair)
• Secretary
• Webmaster (also twitter and newsletter coordinator)
• Steering committee members
