Candidate Statement
As my archival career progresses, I find myself seeking and developing effective and innovative ways to process and manage archival collections. Like many of you, I have often stood at the intersection of access-first principles and seemingly-impossible processing backlogs. In creating new guidelines and workflows at my home repository, I have valued the work of communities like the Collection Management Section. Shared discussion and documentation with other professionals has been key to my own work and as Steering Committee member I would look to foster a culture that pays that back to the community and forward to students and new professionals.
