Meet the Instructor of Interviewing for Introverts

May 21, 2025—This June, SAA Education is hosting a new webcast. "Interviewing for Introverts" is designed to offer strategies for introverts to navigate the job process.

Earlier this week, SAA spoke with instructor Jenna Dworetsky. She shares her background, details on the upcoming webcast, and why introverts have unique skills they bring to the job market.

Society of American Archivists: Please introduce yourself!

Jenna Dworetsky: Hi, I’m Jenna, founder of Golden Wing Consulting. With over ten years of HR experience, I’ve led hiring and people strategy across industries like tech, healthcare, and logistics. I specialize in building thoughtful, scalable HR systems, and I’ve interviewed hundreds of candidates along the way.

As someone who brings a calm, people-first approach to everything I do, I understand how traditional interviews can feel overwhelming—especially for introverts. That’s why I’m passionate about helping people navigate the process with more confidence and authenticity.

SAA: You are leading a new webcast for SAA this June on interviewing for introverts. What can participants expect to see in the webcast?

JD: In the "Interviewing for Introverts" webcast, participants can expect a supportive, practical session focused on helping introverts show up confidently and authentically in interviews. We’ll explore the common challenges introverts face and strategies on how to navigate them. By the end of the webcast, you’ll be equipped with tools to respond to common interview questions clearly and effectively, while staying true to your personality and values.

SAA: What unique skills do you see introverts bringing into a workplace?

JD: Introverts bring a range of strengths to the workplace. They tend to be great listeners, deep thinkers, and highly observant—qualities that lead to thoughtful decision-making and strong one-on-one relationships. Many introverts excel at focusing deeply on their work, approaching challenges with care and creativity, and contributing in meaningful, steady ways that support team success over the long term. They also often bring a calm, grounding presence to fast-paced environments, which can be especially valuable during times of change or conflict.

SAA: What's one thing everyone should know about job searching today?

JD: Networking matters. While applying online is still part of the process, many opportunities come through personal connections, referrals, and conversations behind the scenes. Leveraging your network doesn’t mean aggressively self-promoting, it means staying visible, building genuine relationships, and letting people know what you’re looking for.

Networking can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be transactional. A simple check-in, sharing an update on your goals, or asking for insight can go a long way. The job market is competitive, but human connection is still one of the most powerful tools you have.

SAA: Who should sign up for your webcast?

JD: Anyone who wants to feel more confident and prepared in interviews, especially if you identify as introverted, reserved, or just find traditional interview formats uncomfortable. Whether you’re actively job searching or thinking ahead for future opportunities, you’ll leave with practical tools and strategies you can use right away and keep in your back pocket for whenever you need them.
