William Maher Eloquently Represents SAA—and Archives—at International Meeting

“There is a global value in the archives that exist throughout the world and we need to be able to facilitate that in the digital era,” affirmed William Maher, SAA’s representative at the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights meeting, June 30 to July 4 in Geneva, Switzerland. Maher, a past president of SAA and current member of the Intellectual Property Working Group, was at WIPO detailing the specific archival needs for an international treaty supporting copyright exceptions and limitations.
