Diana Lomarcan
Diana Lomarcan is currently the Systems Librarian at Columbus State University, (Columbus, Georgia) where she supports everything from printing to programming. She holds a masters degree in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University and a BA in Humanities from Michigan State University.
Diana has a long history of computer programming, from her first
class in BASIC in 1980 through formal and informal education in five other
languages. She got her first Internet account in 1990 and started programming
web pages in 1994. She has since been involved in the creation of web sites,
online and interactive library tutorials, and databases, some of which have
been converted to web delivery. She has written several papers and given presentations
about the Internet and the delivery of information using the Web.
Previously, Diana served as Humanities and Rare Book Cataloger
for Auburn University.
