SNAP 2013 Special Elections: Candidate Statements

SNAP 2013 Special Elections

Candidate Statements

Vice-Chair

  • Liza Booker
    • I am an alumni at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and I began my library career by working in an academic library at the University of Illinois for three years. I have complied bibliographies, webliographies, and organized various research projects. I am currently working as a Research Librarian in Fayetteville, NC for Operation Services Inc., under the jurisdiction of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). I am originally from Chicago, IL.  I am interested in becoming the Vice Chair/Chair Elect because I would like to organize the development of new, interesting programs and activities. Since I am also a new member, I believe that I can effectively appeal to the Students and New Archives Professionals Roundtable's needs by maintaining the understanding that the goal is to acquaint new members with the principles of SAA, as well as ease the overwhelming aspect of joining a large organization and assist in making friends along the way.
