The Archival History Section seeks an editor--or two!--to help relaunch a newsletter for AHS members and other interested parties. See full post for details.
Between 1987 and 2000, the Archival History Roundtable published newsletters. On January 19, 2017, based on the recommendations of the Publications Working Group, the Archival History Section's steering committee PASSED two proposals: (1) to create an Archival History Newsletter and (2) to use WordPress as the main platform for the newsletter. Look for a call for editorial support.
For American Archives Month, Eric Stoykovich, Chair of Archival History Section, attended the Archives Fair at the Smithsonian's Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Among the items handed out were limited edition paper versions of a select "Bibliography of American Archival History."
The AHRT annual meeting will include announcement of election results; updates on roundtable activities, including a possible AHRT publication; and 3 presentations on the history of Southern archives.
