n. A thing. A member of a set that has defined characteristics.

Notes

An entity1 may be tangible or intangible, animate or inanimate, or corporate or individual. - Entity2 refers generally to all objects or agents of the system being analyzed. Characteristics are equivalent to the concept of digital object properties. However, entities do not share the digital objects notion of class and methods.
