NARA seeks an Archives Technician, GS-1421-05. Duties: As an Archives Technician with the Richard Nixon Library, you will perform archival duties involving reference, arrangement, description, evaluation and preservation and rehabilitation of classified and unclassified historical materials. You will perform such tasks as: arranging materials at the file folder and series levels under predetermined arrangement schemes or under a general plan approved by the supervisor; conducting searches for information and materials and responding to routine reference requests; processing requests for mandatory declassification review and researcher appeals of mandatory review exemptions; preparing finding aids such as document, folder and shelf lists; assisting archivists in accessioning and disposal of records; identifying records requiring preservation and rehabilitation action.
