Senior Archivist

Responsibilities: Prepares budgets, coordinates communications between six regions to maintain repositories. Collects, preserves, and catalogs historical records, artifacts, and administrative records. Assists researchers, promotes appreciation of the historical background and tradition of Mercy. Develops / maintains policies and procedures for acquisition and use of archival materials, presents reports to Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in library science, history, or related field with course work in archives administration or other archival training or experience.
- Knowledge of the demands and requirements of historical research and confidentiality.
- Ability to recognize / evaluate the historical value of archival material.
- Computer skills to expand archival data retrieval methods.
- Familiarity with Catholic Church and its teachings.
