New Member / First-Timer Orientation
Begin your day on Thursday by joining SAA President Mark Greene,
President-Elect Frank Boles, Council members, and the SAA Membership
Committee for a casual conversation about how to make the most of
your time at the conference. A light continental breakfast will be served.

Career Center
Wondering about your career options? Visit the Career Center to learn
about current employment vacancies and opportunities for postgraduate
study, to meet with prospective employers, or to consult with a career
advisor. (Thursday and Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 -
11:00 am) If you're a job seeker or potential employer, take this opportunity
to place your job announcement or résumé on file for others to see

Mentoring Program
Interested in discussing paths for professional development? Want to
share your knowledge and experience with a fresh young talent? Stop
by the Career Center for coffee and learn about how SAA's dynamic
Mentoring Program can help you make the right connections. (Thursday,
8:00 - 8:30 am)
Navigator Program
SAA's Women Archivists Roundtable and Membership Committee are
pleased to sponsor the Navigator Program, which matches experienced
members with new members or first-time attendees. Your navigator
can help guide you through the maze of this large meeting! All ARCHIVES
2008 attendees are welcome to request a navigator or volunteer
to serve in this important role. Just check the appropriate box on the
Registration Form. For more information, contact Karen Walton Morse

be contacted in mid-July and matched with a partner. The deadline to
request a navigator is July 30.
